Crashing Pyramids

When the toothless raised the flags,

they gagged the invaders for a jiffy,

rebuked the selfish into unity:

but alas!

All this while they plotted

to plunder the innocent of their blood and kin

and estranged them from their loam and canopy.

the elite, the scribes have laid it out, gaudily

in eternal scrolls for the next kin

to amend and mend the scores brewed under the bleeding sky,

Again.
